Even though it’s winter I’ve been getting to skate lately about once a week. The city i live in now doesn’t have an indoor park but I’ve been driving 2 hours back home to Des Moines, Iowa on the weekends where we have skate south. It’s a roller rink we pull ramps out on a few times a week. The guy who runs the skateshop (http://www.subsectskateshop.blogspot.com/) also runs the skate nights and he and his wife are the best. There’s a bounce house there for the kids and they help keep an eye on my munchins while i get a few runs in.

in the summer i just take them to the outdoor parks with me. i pack a lunch for them and skate while they eat and after that we rotate runs. i help each kid do something then i get a run by myself. i don’t get to street skate hardly which is a pretty big bummer but i’m taking what i can get where i can.

i don’t always get everything accomplished that i set out to but getting to share skateboarding with my kids more than makes up for it.
