I’ve heard Jake, Austyn, Grant, Kevin Terp, and possibly Dylan are all leaving. The rumor is BA’s thing is the Chocolate to Skate Mental’s Girl which is supposedly backed by Nike somehow and will have AO (Nike) and Austyn (CONS, owned by Nike). All this is just rumors I’ve read. I’m no real source of info. “Head to toe” sponsorship is all the rage these days, though. Ask Chris Cole or a bunch of the Vans guys.

IDK about for their careers in the long run but if the new company is truly backed by Nike as rumored then they’ll be alright. From a personal stand point though I completely understand it. MC is my favorite skater of all time but it seems as though Crailtap has morphed into exactly the kind of thing Plan B was when they broke away from it. Even a lot of the art direction has gotten lame (as I’ve said before with Real) with so many icon style graphics with just a shape and rider’s name changed. Girl will always have a cool factor because of what it was and what it’s done but what it’s doing right now is just not my cup of tea. AO and BA were big parts of what kept it relevant to me personally. I’m down for the trunk boys but Malto and Mo don’t so much for me regardless of how good they technically are and all my old favorites look like they’re pretty much done producing.
